After the debacle of his last venture Aladin, director Sujoy Ghosh is all set with his next venture titled Kahani. Unit sources inform that unlike his earlier films Jhankaar Beats and Home Delivery, this film is a woman oriented subject. It will be an issue based film. As for the lead role, Sujoy Ghosh has already signed Vidya Balan. As the film is a woman oriented subject, “Sujoy was keen to have an actress who would do justice to the role and hence he chose Vidya Balan for the lead,” says our source. The film is based in Kolkata and is expected to go on floors in Ocotber this year. Ghosh’s entire pre-production team is in Kolkata preparing for the film. Actress Mallika Sherawat makes her debut as a playback singer with her upcoming film ’Hisss’ and she is teamed up with John Lennon’s son Julian to record one of the songs. The actress recorded a song in a studio in Los Angeles recently, which will be released as part of the ’Hisss’ soundtrack and promotions. ’Mallika has recorded her voice singing two different songs. The first of the songs is composed and arranged by Julian Lennon, son of John Lennon from the iconic rock band The Beatles. Upon mixing of the track, the song will be sent to Mr. Lennon for approval,’ a source said in a statement. ’The second track Mallika recorded is arranged by German composer Alexander Von Bubenheim who provided the background score for ’Hisss’.
