Dhanush - Hansika Motwani starrer Mappillai , a remake of Tamil superstar Rajinikanth’s yesteryear blockbuster with the same title, is all set to grace theatres on April 8. Mappillai is directed by Sooraj, who earlier made Dhanush’s Padikadhavan. Mappillai will have the same team of technicians as Padikadhavan working together. Mani Sharma scores music while Venkatesh cranks the camera. Shiyaji Shinde is the villain. Currently, he is said to be busy with the shooting of a new movie and this time, he is pairing up with the apple pie beauty Hansika Motwani.Sources say that the film has completed the first schedule of shooting and this is being directed by Eswar of ‘Siddu from Seekakulam’ fame while Malla Vijayprasad is producing this one.The film is being made under the banner of Wellfare Creations and it is slated to be made on the backdrop of college with romance as the key element.The makers are looking at November for its release.

The Child actress turned full time actress now, Hansika Motwani was seen recently n Bollywood in the most "Disastrous Film released in 2007, Aap Ka Suroor ". (Although the disaster had nothing to do with Hansika but with the actor) Hansika was born in Mumbai and speaks Hindi, English and Telugu. She has acted both in Bollywood and Telugu movies.
