لقد كان موقف الفنان المصري خالد النبوي واضح منذ اندلاع ثورة 25 يناير والتي قادها الشعب المصري منددا بالنظام الديكتاتوري الذي ترأسه محمد حسني مبارك طوال 30 عاما. بكاء خالد النبوي وقال النبوي الذي انهمرت دموعه في نهاية خطابه في مؤتمر "سينما السلام" في ألمانيا، إن مصر آمنة، ودعاهم إلى مساعدتها بزيارتها، وألا يتخلفوا عن هذه الدعوة، مشيرًا إلى العلاقة المتينة والقوية التي ظهرت بين المسلمين والمسيحيين خلال الثورة. وتحدث النبوي، خلال كلمته باعتباره شاهد عيان لا ممثلاً أو أحد صناع السينما، عن التغيير في مصر. وقال إن بلاده انتقلت من عصر الديكتاتورية الذي قبعت فيه 30 عامًا، إلى عصر الحرية. ودعا النبوي كافة الحاضرين إلى ألا ينسَوا يوم 25 يناير/كانون الثاني 2011، ولا يوم 11 فبراير/شباط 2011 أبدًا. والتاريخ الأول هو يوم اندلاع الثورة الشبابية السليمة، والثاني هو يوم تنحي حسني مبارك عن السلطة.

Nayantara seems to have earned the wrath of AMMA, the apex body of Malayalam actors, for not coming forward to give a stage performance in the association’s cultural programme later today. According to reports, the actress initially accepted to perform a dance number when she was approached by the office bearers of the all powerful association, but failed to attend rehearsals later. This has irked the organisers of the show, who are planning to initiate action against Nayantara , reports claimed further. It seems that even Meera Jasmine too is not attending the show.
