Guess who is bonding big time? It is Aishwarya Rai Bachchan and Shabana Azmi! According to our source, Azmi was so impressed with Aishwarya’s performance in Sanjay Leela Bhansali’s Guzaarish that the veteran actress saw the film consecutively over two days.
Our source said, “The Bachchans held a special screening of Guzaarish. Besides her parents-in-law who were obviously impressed with Aishwarya’s performance, Shabana Azmi was also moved by the actress’ sensitive and emotional portrayal in the film. In fact, after the show, Amitabh promptly hugged his bahu, while other guests could not stop raving about her.”
Shabana though, went a step further, and made it a point to watch the film for the second time.
“Shabana felt that Bhansali has captured the beauty of Aishwarya’s soul in the film. The veteran actress feels that it is one of her better performances.”
Aishwarya and Shabana have shared a warm and cordial relationship for over a decade now. “They have been friends even before she began her career as an actress. And Aishwarya often looked to Shabana for tips on acting. The friendship has only bloomed over the years.”
