Shilpa Shetty’s plan to have a surprise birthday party for husband Raj Kundra (September 9) have gone for a toss. A last-minute change in Raj’s work schedule has put a spanner in the works. The actress had made reservations at their favourite resort in Bali and had planned a special surprise for him at the resort. She had meticulously drawn up a list of everything Raj likes. The idea was to make his birthday memorable.
Kundra had to suddenly rush to Europe on urgent business and is expected to return only by September 8. "Shilpa is extremely disappointed as she had to cancel all her arrangements and bookings. There will now be a low-key birthday bash with family and a few close friends."
The rain has further added to Mrs Kundra’s troubles. The actress was to welcome Ganesha into her new home for the first time on September 11.
"She’d got the makers of Lalbaugcha Raja to make her idol. But due to the heavy rain, the exterior of the bungalow is not ready. Also the newly planted trees have been damaged and the garden is in a mess. It will be a few more weeks before the house is ready. Now she will have to celebrate Ganpati at her Juhu flat and she is quite upset about this," says a source.
