Box Office Movies report 2010

Lafangey Parindey starred by Neil Nithin Mukesh and Deepika Padukone, has failed to make it’s presence felt at the box office.

According to sources, the opening day’s collection was approximately Rs35 million (Rs3.5 crore) across India and the weekend’s net collections is around Rs.100 million.


The movie ran to an average 30-35% occupancy across theaters during the opening weekend. Both Deepika and Neil have won appreciation for their performances in the movie.

Shahrukh Khan was generous in his complements on twitter, saying “saw lafangey parindey last nite…deepika has acted really well & so has neil nitin…best of luck to pradeepda for his film.”

Aamir Khan Productions’ Peepli Live continues it’s dream run. The movie made at a budget of around Rs100 million, has earned Rs210 million during its first week at the Indian box office.
