Deepika now she has been selected for the real life role of the grand Marshal at the 28th India Day Parade in New York organized to celebrate India's 61st Independence Day on 17th August.

The grand event is organized by the Federations of Indian Associations (FIA) which is umbrella organization of the Indian American community in the area of New York, New Jersey and Connecticut.

The big parade will start from the Madison Avenue in Manhattan.

But more than that it is an honour and blessing for Deepika Padukone to be present in New York
