Shilpa did her first film “Baazigar” opposite Shahrukh Khan and unlike most of the other actresses, she got name and fame from her very 1st film! Next she signed a couple of films with Govinda and Akshay Kumar, such as “Main Khiladi Tu Anaadi”. This film with the song “Churake Dil Mera” was a hit.
Shilpa also did a set of films that flopped miserably at the box office namely “Jaanwar” and “Lal Baadshah”. She gradually was forgotten. Then came her famous item no. “Main Aayi Hun U.P. Bihar Lootne” she bounced back with Dharmesh Darshan’s “Dhadkan” opposite Akshay Kumar and Suneil Shetty.
