Payal Rohatgi Biography

Payal Rohatgi is the new face in tinselville. A computer engineer by profession, she entered the showbiz when she won the coveted title of “Supermodel Miss Tourism World” in 2001, and became “Femina Miss India finalist” in 2000. Payal shifted her base to Mumbai and since then, has been working here as a model and actress.

Nicknamed Pari, by her dear ones, she was born in Hyderabad on 9th November, 1980. She was a bright student from the beginning. With a figure to die for and oodles of self confidence, Payal began doing ads like Nirma, LG refrigerator and Amul. But her real recognition came from the Cadbury Temptation ad.

A no. of music video offers surrounded this attractive new comer. She did some famous songs for Silk Route and indi pop artist KK. Soon she got her 1st film offer and she immediately agreed to it.� It was Harry Baweja’s “Yeh Kya Ho Raha Hai”. But she cemented her position in Bollywood only with the “Tauba Tauba”.

Today, Payal has an image of a sex siren in the film industry. She is counted among actresses like Mallika Sherawat and Neha Dhupia. She has done notable work in films like “Plan”, “Tauba Tauba”, “Rakht”, “Fun” and “36 China Town”.

Payal says that she has no qualms about people finding her hot. She does what the role demands and does not believe in regretting. She is focused about what she wants and works hard towards achieving it.

One of the upcoming movies of Payal is “Dhol”. It’s the first time for this lady to be working with the veteran film maker Priyadarshan. She is said to have a good time shooting with co actors Sharman Joshi, Tushhar Kapoor, Kunal Khemu and Rajpal Yadav.

With just a few years of films, Payal’s careerograph is soaring high. She is young and she is famous. All she wants now is pure work, work and work.
