As everyone thinks "Khadgam" is not her first Telugu movie. Speaking of her first film Sangeeta says, "Everyone think that 'Khadgam' is my first film. But my first Telugu film was "Aasala Sandadi" {1999} with Ali and my screen name was Rasika." Later hot Sangeeta went on to act in "Navvuthu Brathakalira" with Chakravarthi and "Maa Ayana Sundarayya" with Srihari. She then got busier in Malayalam movies. With "Khadgam" hot Sangeeta made a comeback to Tollywood and walked away with the 'Best Supporting Actress' at Maa Cine Awards.
Sangeeta made her debut in Tamil as a full-fledged heroine in "Kadale Nimmadi" starring opposite Surya and acted in four more movies in Tamil. Sangeeta has appeared in 12 Malayalam movies teaming up with the likes of Mammootty and Mohanlal. She has also acted in 3 Kannada and 5 Telugu movies.
