The duo met at Saif Ali Khan's birthday party last month after a long time and bonded like house on fire.Sonam arrived with her uncle Sanjay Kapoor and his wife Maheep and Ranbir came with Bips since Deepika was out of town. Once at the party and as the evening began to warm up, Ranbir and Sonam got together and soon were seen having a serious conversation.According to common friend, "After doing Saawariya together for a year, Ranbir abruptly cut himself loose from Sonam. He had even stopped taking her calls or answering her messages. Sonam realised Ranbir was involved elsewhere and decided to stay away from him.
