There was a lot of talk about Shahid and Vidya Balan and now both the actors are fed up. They are exhausted explaining to their fans that there’s nothing between them, just friendship. And one of the reasons of them being paired up was the Bebo-Shahid split, followed by their shooting for Kismat Konnection , which was then going on in Canada.
Shahid Kapoor and Vidya Balan have been cast together for the first time. But what was so surprising about this pair? The answer was obvious as Vidya is elder than the 26 year old Shahid. Hence, everybody was a bit skeptical about the pairing. Shahid says “Yeah people were skeptical about how Vidya and I’ll look together. But the way the film has turned out it’s all good. It has been cast according to its requirement and I think that is the strength of the movie.”
Though there was lot of talk about Shahid and Vidya, it failed to change the rapport between them. According to Shahid, “Vidya is a talented and hardworking costar”. When asked about the memorable incidents happened on the set, Shahid regaled us about their first day on the shoot. He reminisces, “We spent 50 days together and became very good friends. We didn’t have much of a choice. There were few things that happened when we were shooting together. Everybody was nervous on the first day of shoot but Vidya broke the ice first when she just walked up to me and said “Can I have your autograph please.” and we all started laughing.”
Coming back to his pairing with Shahid with Vidya, he feels everything depends on the script and characters. If characters are good then other things don’t matter. “I think if the script and characters is good, people will like film. They liked my character and my pairing with Kareena in Jab We Met. Same with Kismat Konnection, people will like our characters and our pairing too.
