Though Jeeva starrer ‘Katrathu Thamizh’ was Anjali’s maiden venture, it was director Mu. Kalanjiyam, who brought Anjali in to film world. Though the film did not take off, the effort made Anjali as an actor and she became a full time actor after director Ram signed her up for his maiden venture ‘Katrathu Thamizh’.
Kalanjiyam, who directed ‘Kizhakkum Merkum’, which received TN Government award for Best Story, has postponed his film featuring Liberation Panthers’ leader Thirumavalavan for the project in which he makes his debut as hero.Now director Kalanjiyam has approached the girl to act in his film, in which he plays the lead role besides directing it. The girl has promptly accepted the offer made by her mentor to act in the film.
