Arbaaz Khan decides to direct 'Dabangg' 2: Director Abhinav Kashyap cocktailed an entertaining mix of realism and Bollywood masala in his debut film Dabangg which broke box office records. Alas, he’s been axed from the film’s sequel. Arbaaz Khan, the producer of Dabangg, has decided to hold the directorial reins himself in Dabangg 2, starring Salman Khan (who else?) in the lead role. Arbaaz confirmed this on his twitter page. “Hey guys it true, I will be directing the sequel of Dabangg. Abhinav for some personal and professional reasons opted out,” Arbaaz wrote. Arbaaz went on to add that the shooting of the film will not start before January 2012. “Scripting has already started, the filming starts by early January. Start sound, camera , action :)” We wonder if Dabangg sequel will have the same raw energy without Kashyap! But Arbaaz seems confident. “Inshallah Dabangg 2 will live up to all the expectations and be a huge blockbuster because of you all. God bless .Allah hafiz....

Arbaaz Khan is making his first film as a producer with his brother Salman, but naturally. He believes that when an actor plays a role that has a part of him it, it becomes easier for him to play the role well and make an impact. Arbaaz says, “When I heard the script of Dabangg, I saw Salman slipping into the character very easily. The film is about a man who doesn’t go down the beaten track, he lives by his convictions, no matter what the opposition is.” Arbaaz’s first film as a producer, Dabangg, means fearlessness. Ask him whether Salman’s fearless image influenced the choice of the title and he says, “He is made of many personalities; being fearless is one of his many traits. But he is not reckless.
